Datindo Management Dashboard

Challenge

Datindo’s reporting process was slow and inefficient, requiring developers to run complex SQL queries for every management request. This delayed decision-making and restricted access to critical insights for non-technical stakeholders. The process also wasted developer time that could be better used elsewhere. As Datindo transitioned to AWS, the need for an automated, scalable, and cost-effective reporting solution became clear.

Solution

We built a cloud-native, serverless data pipeline and web dashboard to provide real-time access to logistics metrics. The frontend, developed with Next.js, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS, offers a fast and intuitive interface for management. On the backend, we implemented a serverless architecture using AWS API Gateway and AWS Lambda for scalability and cost efficiency.

To optimize data processing, we designed an automated pipeline using AWS Lambda and EventBridge, extracting, pre-processing, and storing data in a dedicated PostgreSQL database on AWS RDS. The infrastructure was fully automated using AWS CDK, ensuring consistency and seamless deployments while aligning with Datindo’s cloud-first strategy.

Results

Datindo’s new automated dashboard revolutionized logistics operations, cutting reporting time in half and eliminating reliance on developers for data retrieval. The serverless solution ensured seamless scalability while reducing costs and inefficiencies. With instant access to critical metrics, management could make faster, data-driven decisions, driving greater operational efficiency and strategic focus.
